As JR and Marissa tried to renew the passion in their broken marriage, JR's mind once again wandered to Annie and what they shared. Marissa was worried that it was too soon for them to be intimate again as JR reassured her. However, Marissa didn't believe it and thought it had to do with what he was missing out with Annie as she wondered how JR felt with Annie. He assured her that he didn't miss out on it. In the parlor, Scott decided to go into detail about the discovery that Palmer did. Annie urged Scott on telling him that the world needed to know how special he was.
During this, they had gotten closer but this quickly faded. Annie promised that she wasn't working him. Scott thought they shouldn't do this to which Annie said that she wasn't married to Adam anymore. Scott noticed that she still wore the wedding ring. This prompted Annie to remove the ring, accept the marriage was over and she needed to move on. Annie turned the subject back on Scott. She stroked his ego, telling him that this would be all he needed to beat JR. As Annie was talking to Scott, she moved closer to him and would have probably ignited some passion had JR not walked in. Annie stepped away, thanked Scott and left JR and Scott in the parlor. As Annie was leaving, Marissa called out to her and even apologized for not welcoming her back sooner. Annie was suspicious of this as Marissa insisted nothing was wrong. Marissa wanted to extend the chat to which Annie gracefully declined. However, Marissa physically grabbed Annie and dragged her away.
At BJ's, they both sat down to which Marissa started off the chat. She noted that her and Annie were very different people as she was a 'determined' to be a lawyer yet Annie used sex and manipulation to get what she wanted. Obviously, Annie didn't appreciate the attempt of Marissa trying to grow a backbone and come off as better. Marissa continued on as if Annie didn't say anything to say that Annie was impulsive and didn't think about the long haul when she went after that she wanted. Marissa then posed the question that Annie inspect if the decision to go after what she wanted was going to ruin lives. Annie told Marissa she would be honest and Marissa wondered out loud if Annie knew that was possible to which Annie dismissively said "Ouch". Annie realized that she had hurt Marissa and for that she was sorry but that Marissa should ponder the thought that Annie wasn't the problem in JR and Marissa's marriage as she left Marissa in BJ's. At the Chandler Mansion, the men meet up with a business associate. Immediately, JR wasn't on board with the direction that the company was going but Scott pointed out that because he was the majority stock owner, he could do whatever he wanted. JR pointed out that he was the "one hundred percent" real Chandler and that Scott's ideas would bankrupt the company because he didn't know what he was doing. Scott fired back that he had something that was a guaranteed fortune and JR quipped at Scott that maybe it was a "magic bean". Scott pulled out the folder with the details to Palmer's nanotechnology plans. Scott smiled in satisfaction as the associate and JR went over the plans. Scott went on to gloat that you don't have to be a blood Chandler to successfully run the country. JR, naturally, questioned how he came up with this idea to which Scott said it was due to hard work and diligence. He then started with "while you had been...". JR then said was it while he was dying to which Scott said he was going to finish it with "cheating on your wife."
In the parlor was where Annie found JR. She admitted that she wasn't surprised that Scott had shown JR the plans to the technology. JR, putting two and two together, realized that when he found them earlier, they were discussing Scott's ideas. JR then went on to accuse Annie of being interested in Scott due to greed and she vehemently denied this. JR continued to conclude that if it wasn't greed, then Annie's interest in Scott was her trying to make him jealous. Annie went on to say that there was a third option; her and Scott shared a connection. JR wrote that idea off and demanded that he wanted to know what Annie wanted. Annie fired back, in a seductive manner, with the better question being what JR wanted. Annie smiled knowingly as she knew that they both knew what he wanted, turned on her heel, and sauntered out of the parlor. As JR cooled down after he was visibly shaken, we see that Marissa was lurking in the shadows watching a unaware JR and Annie. Read more...
